Is it hard for you to find time to relax? To find time for your hobby? To find time to paint? You have your job, your family, your chores and suddenly your day is over and you didn't find the time to paint AGAIN!
It's so great you found your way here because today I have some simple tips and tricks for you on how you can go from trying to find the time, to actually making the time to paint!!
So let's dive right in!
#1 Define your priorities and be honest about it
If painting is not one of your priorities right now, that is okay!
But if you feel like you desperately need something fun and relaxing to do for yourself to keep you sane and save you from burning out, you know that it’s time to make yourself a priority!
And this does not make you selfish! I already mentioned this last week. Putting yourself first makes you feel better and can prevent you from burnout! The better you feel, the better you can take care of your family, friends etc.
You'll feel happier and you’ll be in a better mood and you won't head towards burnout!
#2 Be mindful of your time
You could track your time to see where it's going!
Sounds too excessive or crazy?
Well, if you don't know where you spend your time, you will never have enough time. Just compare it to your money! If you don't know where you spend your money, you will keep asking yourself why you are always broke at the end of the month because “I didn't buy anything!”
But if you know your monthly, weekly and daily expenses/you know where your money goes, you see where you're wasting it and can save this money to spend it wisely!
The same goes for your time!
#3 Make it easy for you to get started & to incorporate painting into your life
Another key element of finding the time to relax during painting is making it as easy as possible for you to actually get started!
Keep your art supplies together and near you, so that you can always paint a little bit here and there and don't need a lot of time to prepare! You could also pre-watch tutorials on Youtube, so you know what to expect and then come back to them once you sit down to paint. Or create a Youtube playlist with different tutorials to watch and follow along!
