Having a hobby is impossible! How do I create art after work?

What do you do when you come home after a long day at work? Cuddle up with a nice warm cup of tea or coffee and binge-watch Netflix? I get it and you are not alone. A lot of people simply feel like doing nothing at all after work. but this means you are headed toward burnout!!

Shocking, right?

But don't worry I'm here to help you to take the time to unwind and create art after work!!

The first thing I want you to do is (and I know it seems pretty obvious) preparing everything you'll need in advance to minimize friction and make it easy for you to start. So when you come home you can spend all the time you usually spend on thinking about if it will be worth the effort to set up your painting area with painting!

The second thing that will help you to create art after work is taking it step-by-step and enjoying the little moments!

If you think about how long it will take you to actually paint whatever you have in mind to paint you'll probably end up feeling overwhelmed. You can just decide to sit down and paint for only 10 to 20 minutes and that's it! It's not a huge task anymore and this will make it easier for you to get started!

“But what's the point in painting just for a few minutes?”

“What can I even paint in such a short period of time?”

The answer to these questions is:

Focus on the process!

You want this hobby to bring you joy, so treat it as an artist date with yourself where you show up to enjoy the creative process with an open mind! You have to mind yourself that, it’s not about creating and having a quality end result, but whether or not you made the time to do something for yourself.
